# LanceRank

> LanceRank is the independent trust platform for freelancers — a Trustpilot equivalent for individual freelancers. Each freelancer has one public profile at lancerank.com/<username> showing a single verified LanceRank Score (0–100) aggregated from their reputation across Upwork, Fiverr, Toptal, Freelancer.com, PeoplePerHour, Guru, 99designs, and Contra, plus direct verified client reviews and vouched offline projects. Operated by MARANOTE LTD (Cyprus).

LanceRank is the only product that aggregates a freelancer's reputation across every platform they have worked on into a single portable score. Reviews are not user-submitted from anonymous visitors — they are either synced live from the freelancer's own platform accounts (via a Chrome extension or a server-side backup sync), or invited by the freelancer to verified past-client email addresses. The score uses a 6-factor weighted algorithm (v6.1, effective 2026-05-22):

- Track Record (35%) — volume × earnings × hours, log-scaled, with a Bayesian rating-quality lift; tenure ramp reaches full multiplier in 2 years
- Recency & Tenure (20%) — 16 points for active recency (18-month half-life) + 4 points for years of history (5+ years = full marks)
- Claimant Credibility (20%) — identity verified via Stripe Identity, LinkedIn OAuth, GitHub OAuth, or LanceRank Chrome extension confirming platform-profile ownership
- Platform Credibility (10%) — MAX badge held across platforms (not sum); one Top Rated Plus is full credit
- LinkedIn Endorsements (10%) — skill endorsements + LinkedIn profile signals, imported through the Chrome extension on the user's own profile with their active click
- Skills (5%) — passed LanceRank skill quizzes, admin-set point value per quiz, capped at 5 points total

One strong platform is enough — multi-platform is a bonus, not a requirement. The score is computed from whatever verified data exists today, with a "backed by N sources" chip beside the number indicating depth of proof.

- 88–100 — Trusted Leader
- 78–87  — Verified Pro
- 68–77  — Established
- 58–67  — Rising
- Below 58 — Building
