General
The independent trust platform for freelancers. An impartial reputation directory built around individual freelancers — we aggregate your reputation from every platform and every client into one verified score.
Yes. Free includes your public profile, your LanceRank Score, up to 2 platform connections, verified reviews, vouched offline projects, the embeddable score widget (with a small "Verified by LanceRank" strip), a Link Hub for up to 8 social/external links, a portfolio of up to 6 work samples, public email contact, skill badges from passed quizzes, listing on niche × geo leaderboards, importing your existing platform reviews + LinkedIn profile details, and 5 lifetime free review requests then 2 every calendar month. Forever — no time limit.
Three things in plain terms: (1) the custom profile URL lancerank.com/yourname plus unlimited platform connections, (2) growth tools — bulk CSV review requests, single-use review links, Score Forecast (30/60/90-day projections), profile analytics (views, click-throughs, client locations), certificates, priority placement in search, and Featured category placements, (3) presentation upgrades — the embeddable score widget unbranded with 4 themes + accent colour + CTA, plus video intro, client logos, and pricing tiers on your profile. Latest pricing is at /pricing.
We don't host jobs. We verify reputation. Your marketplace scores, direct client reviews, offline work, social links, and portfolio — everything in one profile. Think of us as the independent layer that sits on top of every platform you work on, and the one link you put in every proposal, email signature, and bio.
For Freelancers
Search for your name or go to /claim. Enter your details, verify your email, and you're done in 2 minutes. If we've already started building your profile from public data, you can claim the existing one.
Fiverr, Toptal, Freelancer.com, PeoplePerHour, Guru, Contra, 99designs and more — 8 platforms in total. More coming soon. Each platform is scraped for public data to build your verified score.
Yes. Add a project, enter your client's email. We send them a 30-second confirmation. Once vouched, it counts toward your score. This is how you prove work that never appeared on any platform.
Six weighted factors out of 100. Track Record (35 pts) — log-scaled volume, earnings, and hours, multiplied by a Bayesian rating-quality lift so 4.9 across 250 reviews beats 5.0 across 3. Recency & Tenure (20) — 16 points for active-recency on an 18-month half-life plus 4 for years on file. Claimant Credibility (20) — identity proof via Stripe Identity, LinkedIn OAuth, GitHub OAuth, or the LanceRank Chrome extension confirming you own the platform profiles you connected. Platform Credibility (10) — your highest-tier badge across every platform. LinkedIn Endorsements (10) — skill endorsements + LinkedIn profile signals imported via the Chrome extension. Skills (5) — passed LanceRank skill quizzes. Career stage bands: 88-100 Trusted Leader, 78-87 Verified Pro, 68-77 Established, 58-67 Rising, below 58 Building. Full breakdown at /how-scoring-works.
Continuously. Connected platforms re-sync on a rolling schedule (your most active platforms every few days, others every 2–4 weeks). Verified reviews and vouched projects update the score immediately when the client confirms. A nightly safety-net cron recomputes every active profile so cold-start unlocks and recency decay are always current. Pro users can see Score Forecast & Velocity (30/60/90-day projections) at /dashboard/forecast.
Yes — free. The Link Hub at /dashboard/links lets you add up to 8 external links (Instagram, LinkedIn, GitHub, X, personal website, YouTube, Behance, Dribbble — anywhere you have a presence). Connecting LinkedIn or GitHub through OAuth also adds an identity-bound badge to your profile, and GitHub adds a public repo stats card.
Yes — free. Add up to 6 work samples at /dashboard/portfolio. Each entry takes a title, description, image or link, and tags. The portfolio shows on your public profile beside your reviews. Pro adds a video intro, client logos, and pricing tiers on top of the portfolio gallery.
Free — grab the snippet at /dashboard/widget and paste it anywhere (your own site, Notion, blog). The free widget shows a small "Verified by LanceRank" branding strip. Pro removes the strip and adds 4 themes, an accent colour, a CTA button, and click analytics.
At /top/<niche> for any skill (e.g. /top/web-development) or /top/<niche>/<country> for a geo-specific list (e.g. /top/web-development/germany). Anyone with a claimed profile can appear on these — they’re ranked by LanceRank Score, not by Pro tier.
For Clients
No. All public profiles are freely accessible. No account needed to verify a freelancer. Just click their LanceRank link and see their full verified history.
Yes. When a freelancer invites you via email or shares a single-use review link, you click through and leave the review directly — no account needed. We verify the email and ask you to attach proof the work happened (invoice, platform link, or bank reference). The review is signed and posted; you keep no LanceRank account afterwards.
No — and that’s deliberate. There’s no public "Leave a review" button on a LanceRank profile. Reviews only happen when a freelancer sends a verified link to a past client. This protects freelancers from anonymous attacks (ex-clients, competitors, bad bosses) and protects buyers from fake reviews. The trade-off: you can’t leave a drop-in review, but every review you DO see was verified at submission.
A LanceRank score isn’t a wall of testimonials — it’s a continuously-synced mirror of the freelancer’s actual platform history (Upwork, Fiverr, Toptal, and others), plus direct reviews and vouched offline projects, each verified individually at submission. Platform data refreshes automatically when the freelancer is active. Direct reviews require email verification of the reviewer. Offline projects require the actual client to confirm by email. The "Backed by N verified sources" chip on every profile shows how many independent data points back the score.
Two reasons. First, the score is a live mirror of platform reality — if a freelancer’s Upwork rating drops, their LanceRank score follows automatically. Second, every direct submission requires explicit verification: invitation-only review requests, client-email confirmation for offline projects, server-side detection of reciprocal-vouch rings. The system was designed so that volume comes from real engagements rather than from anyone with a keyboard.
