- What’s the catch with Free?
- There isn’t one. Free is a complete profile: your profile, your score, your verified reviews, your link hub, your embeddable widget and your place on the leaderboards are all on Free and stay on Free. Pro adds tools for the freelancers who use the link most: an inbox for the messages people send from it, all eight marketplaces, unlimited review requests, profile analytics, a custom URL, an unbranded widget, labelled Featured placements, and the chance to be picked for a small Google Ads campaign that LanceRank pays for. Pro never changes your score or where you rank. If Free does the job, stay on Free.
- Does Pro get me clients or a higher rank?
- No. LanceRank doesn’t promise clients or work. It makes you easier to trust when a client looks you up. Rankings follow the score: Pro members don’t rank higher, and paid Featured spots are always labelled. Google Ads is real, but it is not automatic: we pick Pro profiles that pass a few checks and build a small campaign for each one, with a small budget, at our expense. It sends searchers to a profile; how many click, write or hire is not in our control.
- How does my platform data get refreshed?
- Your platform data is refreshed when you re-sync it: Upwork, Fiverr and Toptal by opening your profile with the LanceRank Sync extension, other marketplaces from your dashboard when they fall behind. We email you when a platform is due. This works the same on Free and Pro.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancel from your dashboard or the Stripe customer portal. We ask why and may offer a pause or a discount; you can decline and finish in a click. No phone calls, no fees. If you’re in the 14-day trial you won’t be charged at all.
- What happens if I cancel Pro?
- Your profile stays live and your LanceRank Score stays visible — nothing is deleted. If you paid for Pro and had a custom URL, your profile moves back to an auto-generated URL right away; the custom link keeps redirecting for 90 days so anything you’ve shared still works, and you can reclaim it if you return to Pro. Cancel during the trial and you keep your handle. Pro-only features (the inbox, analytics, forecast, bulk requests, unbranded widget, Featured placement eligibility, any Google Ads campaign) pause. Everything else is yours forever on the Free tier.
- Do you offer a trial?
- Yes. Every Pro plan starts with a 14-day free trial — full access to every Pro feature. We place a temporary $9 card-verification hold at signup and release it immediately (you may briefly see it as “pending” on your statement); you are never actually charged during the trial. Cancel any time in those 14 days and you owe nothing.
- Do clients need to pay to view profiles or leave reviews?
- Never. LanceRank is completely free for clients. They can view any profile, leave a verified review when a freelancer invites them, or vouch for an offline project — without creating an account or paying anything.
