I developed Theraform, a comprehensive clinic and patient management system for a global slimming network. This project required building two synchronized platforms: a Flutter mobile app for patients and a Laravel-powered admin dashboard for clinic operations. ## The Challenge The system needed to serve two distinct user groups with different needs while maintaining seamless real-time synchronization. Patients required an intuitive mobile experience for booking and progress tracking, while clinics needed robust tools for managing schedules, patient records, and analytics across multiple locations. ## Mobile App Development I built the patient-facing app using Flutter with Cubit for state management, ensuring smooth performance across iOS and Android devices. Key features include: - Appointment booking with real-time availability checking - Weight loss progress tracking with visual charts - Secure authentication via AWS Cognito - Push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging - Google Maps integration for finding nearby clinics - Offline capability with local data caching The interface prioritizes ease of use, helping patients stay engaged with their health journey through clear navigation and encouraging progress visualization. ## Admin Dashboard The clinic dashboard was built with Laravel and Vue.js, providing a powerful management interface. I architected the backend using PHP and PostgreSQL for reliable data handling at scale. Features include: - Multi-level role-based access control for staff, managers, and network administrators - Schedule management with conflict detection - Patient records system with treatment history - Network-wide analytics and performance metrics - Feedback management tools - Appointment notifications and reminders ## Technical Architecture Real-time synchronization was critical. When patients book appointments through the mobile app, clinic schedules update instantly. When staff update patient records, that information flows immediately to the patient's app. I implemented this using: - RESTful API architecture connecting both platforms - Firebase for real-time data sync - AWS S3 for secure file storage and management - Optimized database queries for performance - WebSocket connections for live updates The multi-level access control system ensures different user roles see only relevant data. Clinic managers access their location's information, while network administrators view aggregated data across all clinics. ## Security & Compliance Healthcare data requires rigorous protection. I implemented AWS Cognito for secure authentication, encrypted data transmission, and access controls that support compliance requirements across different jurisdictions where the network operates. ## Results The platform now streamlines operations for a multi-location healthcare network while improving patient experience through convenient mobile access. Clinics manage their workflows efficiently, and patients stay engaged with their progress - all synchronized in real-time across both platforms.
