The solution was to create several custom post types for each of these moving parts, and to taxonomies for those post types (for the purposes of filtering posts easier). I also created relationships between posts of the different post types to help connect the site better. Design-wise I kept the palette simple, with lots of white space, so her artwork shone through above all else. The custom event calendar was created using custom fields within Crocoblock JetEngine. We not only have a calendar, but also highlights on the side of upcoming events. Clicking on each event brings you to a page with more information. This was created with an Elementor template that dynamically pulls in information using custom fields. The client does not need to touch elementor to edit this site. She simply enters the information into the form, and the template builds an event page, as well as adding it to the calendar and highlights. The same is true for the gallery of her artwork. There was specific bits of information that would always need to be included about each piece, and I was able to include this using custom fields and a custom page template that pulled in the information from the fields themselves, without editing the page design.
