The early phase required serious efforts to grasp the underlying infrastructure, which presented its own set of challenges. The client asked me to improve the webmail part of the CRM website. This is where emails are managed. I also had to add a new way for the webmail to check who's allowed in. It's like adding a new key to the door (Called Authentication Method). This new way lets emails be sent using either a simple key or a fancier one called OAuth2. This change was important because Microsoft decided they won't help with the simple key way anymore. The testing phase was no joke. I have this quirky thing for high performance and squeaky-clean code – they're like my software soulmates. So, I put them through their paces, making sure they dance harmoniously like a duo from a comedy show. Picture me wearing a performance t-shirt and holding a feather duster, because that's how seriously I took this. And guess what? This journey wasn't just about fun and games. It was like an adventure where the loot was lessons – I did come out of it wiser and victorious in the world of code.
